Cambrian Rally 2023

The Cambrian Rally, hosted in Llandudno on the 28th of October, marked a special chapter in our rally journey as I teamed up with co-driver Tom Torngren, who traveled all the way from Sweden to tackle his first UK rally. The event was a true rollercoaster, full of challenges and remarkable achievements.

Our rally adventure had a bumpy start as SS1 presented us with intercom issues that made it nearly impossible to hear the pacenotes. Rallying, however, is all about adaptability, and on SS2, something extraordinary happened - a true connection was formed in the car. We gelled as a team and found our rhythm, which set the tone for the rest of the rally.

Despite facing slippery conditions in certain areas, which required us to employ clever driving tactics, we managed to secure maximum points in our class for the BTRDA championship. In addition, we clinched 2nd place points for the Welsh Rally Championship, underscoring our determination and competitive spirit.

This rally was a testament to the power of teamwork and adaptability. I would like to extend my sincere appreciation to the Ignition Motorsport team for their unyielding support and hard work. Their expertise was pivotal to our success.

I also want to express my gratitude to Tom Torngren for his exceptional performance as my co-driver. His commitment and professionalism, especially considering it was his first UK rally, were truly commendable. Together, we overcame adversity and achieved a well-deserved result.

As we reflect on the Cambrian Rally, we are eagerly looking forward to having Jordan Joines back in the co-driver's seat for the season's final event, The Wyedean on 18th November. With newfound confidence and enthusiasm, we aim to finish the season on a high note, building on the lessons and successes of the Cambrian Rally.
