Jenkins Rallying partners with Carbon Positive Motorsport
We are very proud to announce that starting with the RallyNuts Stages Rally next weekend, we will be offsetting more emissions than we produce from both our Peugeot 205 Rally car and our support vehicle for the 2022 season.
By teaming up with Carbon Positive Motorsport, they will provide carbon positive levels of offsetting for our Peugeot 205 rally car and also our diesel support vehicle through verified carbon reduction units which will be referenced and shown on the UK Carbon Land Registry.
Michael Jenkins says
“I’m really proud that we’ll be making a positive difference to the environment by offsetting more emissions than are created through competition at next weekend’s RallyNuts Stages and the entire season. Climate change is one of the biggest challenges facing future generations and with two young children it’s something that’s very close to my heart. Rallying is also very close to my heart and something needed to be done to move towards a more sustainable future, what Carbon Positive Motorsport are providing is a step in the right direction. It’s also great to see that the event organiser’s of the RallyNuts stages are also on-board by signing up to the scheme to offset all of the rally organisation vehicles on the event itself.”
Carbon Positive Motorsport work with their partner Highland Carbon to source UK based re-wilding projects which restore wild landscapes for the benefit of rare species, giving us confidence and knowledge that we are making a positive difference through motorsport.
Carbon Positive COO, Steve Smith said
“Our services will enable the Jenkins Rallying Team to make a positive difference to the environment by offsetting more emissions than are created through their competition.
We use certified carbon reduction units largely based on projects for rewilding and tree planting to offset emissions, so competitors can concentrate on enjoying their motorsport activities.
All of our offsetting will be made through verified carbon reduction units and will be referenced and shown on the UK Carbon Land Registry”
